Frequently asked questions

While you are never required to have a lawyer, you’ll find that at least consulting with one about your problem to be very helpful. Many people try to take care of legal problems on their own but, often times, this makes matters worse. The bottom line is that if you’re in any situation where you are unsure of your rights, or the potential outcomes of a dispute, you should contact an attorney.

Unlike many firms today that specialize in one thing or another, we are a general practice law firm. We have an experienced attorney available for most any legal problem you may have–whether personal or professional.

Yes. One of our attorneys will meet with you in our office to discuss your problem for 20 minutes at no charge. When you leave your first consultation, you should have an idea as to what laws apply to your case, what an attorney can do to help you and the fees involved for one of our attorneys to represent you.

Other than English, we have lawyers who speak Spanish, French and Farsi.

It depends on the type of case you have. Sometimes we will charge by the hour, other times we will charge a flat fee. Sometimes we will not bill you anything unless we win your case and then we will bill for a percentage of any final award. The bottom line is that you will find our fees to be very competitive and we will always let you know in advance about what to expect.

When you first come in to see us, we will ask you lots of questions about your situation–the more we know, the more we will be able to help. Next, we will let you know where we think you stand with things–whether or not you have a case, the possibilities of different outcomes to your case, options on how to approach your case as well as our recommendations and fees. Our goal is to make you fully informed about your situation and to assist you in making an intelligent decision on how to proceed.
